LOL, I did not notice that the blog passed its 15000th hits mark this morning until I published the last post.  Thank you for visiting and keep coming back!  Go go go!

5A and 5B grade summary.

•September 19, 2009 • Leave a Comment

I do have 5A’s and 5B’s grades too but I have not put it up as there were no requests by any of the students from these classes.  I guess they are not as interested with their results as the 4 express classes.  So that will answer any questions as to why only the grades of 4A, 4B and 4C are listed.  FYI.

For those who hate folding clothes like me, this may make life a little easier.  Japanese are creative aren’t they?

The link to the video below has english instructions on how to actually do what the Japanese lady did above.

4B 2009 Preliminary Examinations Grade Summary.

•September 14, 2009 • Leave a Comment

I have complied the overall grades for 4A, 4B and 4C for the preliminary examinations.  The information reflects the complied grades for all the subjects taken as well as the class positions and level positions.  I have not included the L1R4 and the L1R5 figures as there is a possible calculation error in the system.  When you receive your report books, please check your L1R4 and L1R5 figures carefully as they may not add up correctly.  The information here was typed by me personally and not transferred from some other excel spreadsheet.  Therefore, I take no responsibility if there happens to be any typo error.  On the whole, it is my belief that the information is at least 99% accurate as of 1400H on 16 Sep 2009.

Password Hint 4A : The christian name of 4B’s form teacher’s favourite soccer player in England.  (Ashwin should be able tell you which soccer team)

Password Hint 4B : The favourite colour of 4B’s form teacher.

Password Hint 4C : The surname of 4B’s form teacher’s favourite soccer player in England.  (Ashwin should be able tell you which soccer team)

All three passwords are not in capital letters.

Thank you 4B for an unforgettable teacher’s day!

As some of you are already aware, many of you were caught on video during my extra lesson during the September holidays.  To show my appreciation to my 4B for playing a prank on me during teacher’s day.  I have extracted a couple of close up images from the video in this post.  The videos that I took totalled more than 45 mins in length so I decided to extract images instead.  Maybe I will compress the video someday and post it…  :P     I am actually very forgiving already, this is just a mild prank compared to the other pranks that I have carried out before.

Sign, some did ok while others did not.  It is not as if the teachers did not do their work, what was taught was seemed to have been forgotten.  All the effort both on the teacher’s side as well as the student’s side, where have they gone?  Truely, the best teachers’ day gift is a good result from the expected as well as the unexpected.  Unfortunately, more often than not we teachers get bad results from the unexpected.  The funny thing is, the results are not ours, the teacher’s name will never appear ever again and will probably be forgotten after the passing of time.  Yet, it is a yearly battle for teachers to try to teach the unteachable and help them create a future for themselves.  For those who did well, do better, never stop marching upward.  For those who did not do well, reflect and think whether you have done justice to your teacher’s efforts and put in your best effort.  Truely, your best effort is really the best possible gift that you can give to your teachers.

A couple of videos from my Australia 2009 holiday.

This is a video of my apartment at Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Australia.

This is a video of some of the awesome houses that Australians own.  I would like to retire here…  hmm…

This is a video of Circular Quay, Sydney, Australia.  The obvious landmarks are the Sydney Opera House as well as the Sydney Harbour Bridge.  If you cannot differentiate between the two landmarks and know which is which, forget it.
